Marta Saad
Professor of Criminal Procedure Law at USP Law School since 2010, with research focusing on constitutional and conventional guarantees of criminal procedure, criminal investigation and patrimonial measures in criminal procedure. At USP Law School, she is a member of the Graduation Committee and the Extension Committee.
She graduated from FDUSP in 1997. She completed a specialization in economic and European criminal law at the Coimbra Law School and IBCCRIM in 2002. She obtained her master’s degree in 2002 and her doctorate in 2007, both from USP Law School.
She is a lawyer working in the area of corporate criminal law. She is also a lecturer on the lato sensu postgraduate course in economic criminal law at FGV-SP, on the specialization course in law and information technology at the PECE/Poli/USP Continuing Education Program and on the specialization courses run by IBCCRIM with the University of Coimbra, among others.
She is also the academic coordinator of congresses, such as the International Congress on Fundamental Rights and Criminal Procedure in the Digital Age, promoted annually by InternetLab, and the IBCCRIM International Seminar, and evaluator of various journals, such as the Brazilian Journal of Procedural Law and the Brazilian Journal of Police Sciences.
She is president of the Ibero-American Criminal Law Network, a board member of the Arcadas Foundation and a collaborator with the Carlos Chagas Foundation. She was president and advisor to IBCCRIM and advisor to the Minister of Justice.
