Bárbara Simão
Head of Research, Privacy and SurveillanceMaster’s student in Law and Development at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV Direito
SP). Bachelor’s degree from the Law School of the University of São Paulo
(FDUSP). During her undergraduate course, she was an exchange student at the
Paris 1 PanthéonSorbonne University (2015-2016). She received a scholarship from
the Tutorial Education Program (PET) – Legal Sociology, by the Ministry of
Education. She worked as a researcher in the area of telecommunications and digital
rights at Instituto Brasileiro de Defesa do Consumidor (Idec) between 2017 and
2020. She is currently a research coordinator in the Privacy and Surveillance area.
